I received my coffee maker as a Mother’s Day gift and it does not seem to be working. I have done everything and still, no luck, cleaned with vinegar and coffee refresh. the water does not drip down into the pot it stays in the reservoir.

Hello – We are experiencing problems with our Cuisinart coffeemaker where the grains are in our coffee cups and the coffee filter. Does it matter if we use the filter basket that came with this product or does we need to also use the paper filter?
