Tips for getting the Best Brew Coffee
Following are some of the simple yet effective tips that you can follow for the Best Coffee Brewing. They are given as follows:
a) Rinse the filters well before use.
Many of you miss out on this, even I used to do that! It is important that you prepare your coffee in a clean Coffee Maker, with clean filters of course. The filters may have some coffee residues on it, and if it is not cleaned properly then it will affect the next preparation.
b) Fresh Coffee Beans? Yes, please!
If you wish to make authentic and creamy Barista-coffee, then you need to have fresh coffee beans. Not many people believe in this, but just try it out for once and you will know the difference.
Yes, ground coffee beans do work and give you drool-worthy coffee treats. But in the long run, they lose the freshness and eventually this lowers the quality. Instead, you can get the whole coffee beans with you, and simply grind them when you are preparing the coffee.
c) The technique of Pouring Water in the right way.
For the best effective pour over, the hot water should be poured into a spiral motion starting from the center and slowly moving outwards. This will saturate all the coffee grounds in an even manner, and also makes sure that there is the right level of attraction between the grounds.
There is another tip for even water distribution – try your best to get a narrow-spouted kettle for the Pour Over Coffee. It actually works!
d) Method of Grinding and its timing is important.
Coffee experts believe that the grounded coffee starts losing its aroma and freshness in less than 30 minutes. Then, imagine the taste of a pre-grounded bean will be for the coffee.
Try grinding the fresh coffee beans exactly when you need it. This will keep the coffee rich and also maintain the flavor intact.
Also, the level of the ground matter a lot. If you are using a coarse grind, then you will get a weak coffee. Whereas, if you have finely ground beans, then that will actually over-extract the drink. Always, make use of medium coarse coffee beans, especially in case of the Drip Coffee Making.
e) How are you storing the Coffee beans?
Coffee grounds must be stored in a vacuum sealed container so that no air gets in contact with the ground in any manner. These boxes should have a one-valve support on them, and a standard Mason jar will work the best for the coffee bean storage.
If you have got multiple jars, then you can store the grounds inside different jars. The jar should close tightly and should have a wide opening so that you can take out the grounds easily.
f) Clean water and processing at the right temperature!
I am talking about the hard water issues here. If you have got hard water in your area, then you need to strictly convert the water from hard to soft before using it on the Coffee Maker.
The minerals in the hard water will not only ruin the coffee but also badly affect the quality of the machine too.
The best temperature range is 195 to 205 Fahrenheit, do not exceed the 205 mark as this may burn the coffee. No one wants a burned coffee.
g) Getting the coffee measured in terms of weight.
Having a measurement fixed is a good way of making delicious coffee. These days you can even get a digital scale and do all the measurement stuff, just before making your Coffee! With this, you could make a quick comparison of the water and the coffee grounds proportion.
The ideal ratio of the coffee ground and the water goes by the ratio 1:20. That is for one part of the coffee ground, you need to mix 20 parts of the water. This one is ideal, you can opt for 1:14 as well as 1:30, depending on your personal taste preferences.
These were some of my attempted tips which really work for bringing out the Best Brewed Coffee!
The EndNote
Now that you know the tips to brew your coffee just right way, what about the coffee maker to use it for?
Among the different coffee brewing machines, French Press is my favorite.
According to Thomas Hartocollis, the co-founder at Roasting Plant says – French Press deals with the two main coffee processing components, and they are water and pressure. The more pressure you give to the coffee beans, the best you get with the flavors.
