# Cleaning and Fixing
So to start with, the Cuisinart that you are going to clean should be plugged off the socket. In other words, there should be no kind of power supply or connection with the electric board while cleaning it. Keep the coffee pot at its place so that the further process can be started.
Now, see to it that each and every part of the coffee maker is at its place properly. If there is something that is not at its place then fix it.
However, to clean the Cuisinart coffee maker first you need to remove the charcoal filter and get a new one at its place.
Then get a mixture ready consisting some water and vinegar and fill up the water tank or reservoir. Place the carafe at its position and start the coffee maker.
This will run the brewing process but actually at present it is cleaning the machine.
If this does not happen to be the solution for your problem then let’s see some other ways.
1. Improper Brewing Process or Brewing Does not Start or Stop
If there is a trouble in your Cuisinart coffee maker regarding the proper start and stop of the brewing process, then you may need to clean the coffee maker completely well with the help of the vinegar.
In cases such as the process didn’t start on time or it gets completed before or after the time then there is some problem in the machine. And that problem can be the mineral deposition inside the coffee maker machine.
This minerals and remains cause blockage and hence the brewing process is unable to accomplish smoothly.
2. Lid Leakage
One of the most common problems in a coffee maker is the leakage of coffee from the lid.
This issue is generated due to the broken lid or sometimes due to clogged lid. It happens to spill the coffee over the counter or dining table more often in such cases.
Now, if the issue is of the lid breakage then you may require to get a new one from the store according to the model of your coffee maker. Not all the lids are same and fit all the coffee makers.
However, if the lid is clogged it is because of the coffee oil and the dust that creates an obstruction in the lid. This happens when you have used the coffee maker for a large number of times and haven’t cleaned it properly.
To solve this, You need to soak the lid into the boiling water and rinse it properly afterward.
3. Power Issues
The most common Cuisinart problem is that the machine does not power up even after the supply of power. The most common reason of this is that the cord used for the power supply is damaged or may have a cut somewhere.
There are chances of a loose connection at the end where the wire connects the coffee maker. And here you need to replace the power cord.
But if your power cord is well then there must be the circuit board inside the coffee maker that is creating the issue. For solving this you need to go to the expert and only that is recommended.
Note: When there is the power supply concern or any issue with the power you need to turn off the power supply of any kind to the machine.
4. Coffee Tastes Different
The taste of coffee is the best thing about the coffee and the most vital reason for which so many people are addicted to it. But what happens when your coffee maker starts making coffee with a whole together different taste? You are going to get it into pieces when you are angry.
But there is a way out of this! The change in the taste of the coffee is may be because of the coffee maker.
When we use the coffee maker more often and for more time, the metallic body of coffee gets dirty due to improper cleaning. And this is what causes the change in the taste of the coffee that you drink.
5. Overflowing
There are the cases where you get an overflow in your Cuisinart coffee maker. And it will create a mess all around the place and even waste your time and coffee. This happens because of overfilling of coffee ground in the basket.
When you are filling the basket or the filter with the coffee ground you need to check its capacity. Each basket has different capacities and if you over fill it there are going to be the consequences for this. Perhaps there is an automatic and precoded time for which the Cuisinart will allow the water flow and maintain its speed.
So do not over fill the basket, as this causes the dripping to slow down and hence causes an overflow.
These were some of the common problems that are being faced by the Cuisinart coffee maker users.
The EndNote
So here were the troubleshoots and guidelines for you. So that you can make a great cup of coffee always and every day using your Cuisinart Brewer.
However, there are not much complaints or fallbacks of the Cuisinart coffee makers as they manufacture only quality products. Yet there is going to be an issue now and then if you are using any machine.
