Things You Need

  • Medium or finely grounded coffee
  • Hot water
  • A coffee filter or a piece of fine cloth
  • A mug
  • Paper clips or elastic strips

Steps to Follow

There are certain things that you need to do in order to get the drip coffee ready. Gather the ingredients and get ready to make some drip coffee.

Step 1: Make the filter

The first thing that you need to do is to make the filter for the coffee ground. Here you can use the coffee filter that you bought from the store. But if you do not have those at present then take a piece of cloth or a handkerchief.

Now you need to place that piece of filter or cloth on the mug.

The filter is ready!

Step 2: Get the filter firmly on the mug

To make the drip coffee from the coffee ground that too intense then it is required that you do the things perfectly. To do so you will require the clips or the elastics. Take the filter that you made and place it over the mug exactly where you want it to be.

Then you need to hold that filter at its place by placing a clip or the elastic to keep it firm with the mug.

Step 3: Get the water heated

Heat up the water for extracting the coffee from the coffee grounds. Heat the water not much high, keep it just below the boiling temperature.

Step 4: Add coffee

As the water is heated up, now you can add some coffee in the filter. The coffee ground should be medium or fine so that you can get the best and intense drip coffee through the homemade filter.

Step 5: Pour the water

Once you have added the coffee in the filter now you are ready to pour the hot water. Slowly you pour the water through the filter and the ground coffee, very slowly. Let the coffee get extracted a drop after drop.

Step 6: That’s it

After the slow process of pouring of water and saturating the coffee into the mug, the drip coffee is now ready. It will be as darker as you want if you pour it slowly and pour a lesser amount of water.

EndNote

As I said earlier, there are several other methods to do the job but this one is the best of all. You get an intense cup of coffee after a great piece of work.
