You may have heard about different coffee names, but have you heard about the Turkish Coffee?
If you get a chance to travel down to Turkey, don’t forget to try their Turkish Coffee. Now, what makes this coffee different is just not the taste of it, but also the method in which it is prepared, and the way it is consumed. We will provide a clear explanation on the making and get into the brief history.
What is Turkish Coffee
In the Turkish Coffee, the preparation of an unfiltered coffee is done. The coffee beans used for the making are the roasted ones, which are then finely ground. Here the use of sugar is optional. If you don’t prefer sugar, then you can avoid it in the making.
The unique point to note here is that the coffee is not filtered. Instead, they are allowed to settle down on the base of the cup. And, later the coffee is enjoyed sip by sip, as it is the correct way to drink a Turkish coffee.
You can easily prepare this coffee at your home. First measure the quantity of the water, then add coffee into it. After this, you have to add sugar, which is completely optional here.
Next step is to place the vessel on the heat and keep stirring the coffee drink. Wait until the coffee and the sugar dissolves in the solution.
After some time of stirring you will find the coffee rise, and at this moment turn off the heat. Pour the coffee into a cup, and let the coffee grounds settle down on the base side of the cup. Then enjoy your Turkish Coffee by drinking it sip by sip, and this is the right way of enjoying it.
There is one superstition connected with the coffee grounds which is left over after the drink. After anyone finishes their coffee drink, the grounds in the glass can tell the fortune of the person.
So, when are you going to try out this royal drink?
