Especially on days when you want to try something different. If you are in a similar mood, then check out the Portuguese-fame Galao Coffee at the cafe.
All the Coffee types are related to each other in one way or another. No matter if you agree or disagree with this statement, it’s a fact.
There will be just a slight difference in the components of the coffee, rest remains pretty much the same.
What is Galão Coffee?
Galão is a signature coffee which is prepared in Portugal, and the processing is similar to that of the latté and the cappuccino shots. This rich coffee drink is milky, sweet and served in a tall glass!
Coming to the recipe, this one is similar to the Cafe Latté with some portion of coffee along with the foamed milk in it. In the Galão Coffee, you will get a ¼ portion of coffee with a ¾ parts of foamed milk. You are sure to find this drink at all the Portuguese shops or other eateries.
Another cool thing about this drink is that it goes well with both breakfasts as well as brunch session.
Ingredients required for the preparation of Galão Coffee; one-quarter of coffee, 3 quarters of milk, and a proportionate amount of sugar as per preference.
For the making, first, you need to make an Espresso drink. Then take the required quantity of milk and then set it to boil. Pour both the liquids (Espresso and the milk) together in the tall serving glass. After this, just add sugar as per taste preference.
Now in case you don’t have an Espresso at home, then you can always buy the Nescafe Instant Galão and make it right away without any Coffee Maker.
The drink is not served alone, and they are accompanied by something sweet. This is how Galão Coffee is served in the traditional way. It is also seen similar to the Cortado Coffee, but this one has got a higher milk proportion in it. Galão has a matching proportion with that of the Cafe Latté.
